Invaders game...
As the Wikipedia narrates, the Space Invaders game is in fact an
arcade video
game designed by T. Nishikado, and released in 1978. It was originally
manufactured and sold by Taito in Japan.
Space Invaders is one of the earliest shooting games and the aim is to
defeat waves of aliens with a laser gun to earn as many points as
possible.
Even though it's simple by today's standards (with basic
two-dimensional graphics), it was one of the pioneers of modern video
gaming and helped expand the video game industry to a global success.
When first released,
S. I. was very successful and
popular.
Guinness World Records ranks it the top arcade game!
The more aliens you shoot, the faster the remaining aliens
move. If
they get too close, it's game over — so shoot quick. And
watch out for
the flying saucer...
